Born on May 30, 1981, Dusty was a giant in Canadian professional rodeo. A four-time Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) Bareback Riding Champion (2006, 2007, 2010, 2011), his name is etched in the sport’s history. His exceptional talent earned him a place in the Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, qualifications for 13 Canadian Finals Rodeos, and two appearances at the prestigious National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas in 2008 and 2010.
In recent years, Dusty faced a different, far more brutal opponent: ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He met this challenge with the same grit, determination, and bravery that defined his eight-second rides, inspiring all who followed his journey.
