Shane Blake Smith Obituary, Cause of Death – Glasgow Resident Dies at 49
It is with great sadness that the family of Shane Blake Smith, 49, of Glasgow, announces his passing on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Shane was born in Glasgow and spent most of his adult life working as a construction worker in the home improvement industry, where he was admired for his dedication and hard work.
Shane is survived by his loving parents, Randal and Wanda Smith of Glasgow; three brothers: his twin Steven Smith of Edmonton, Timothy Smith of Tompkinsville, and Joe Smith (Emily) of Glasgow, who is also a twin; as well as four nieces and nephews: Clayton Smith, Rebecca Smith, Nora Smith, and Lydia Smith. He is also remembered by several aunts, uncles, and cousins who mourn his loss.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
