Brody Robert Swain Obituary, Cause of Death – New Port Richey Teen Dies in Car Accident at 15

It is with profound sadness that the family of Brody Robert Swain announces his unexpected passing on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Born on September 28, 2010, Brody was only 15 years old. His sudden departure has left his family, friends, classmates, teammates, and the entire River Ridge High School community devastated as they mourn the loss of a remarkable young man whose bright future was filled with promise and potential.

A sophomore at River Ridge High School, Brody was celebrated for his loving heart, cheerful spirit, and quick-witted sense of humor. He had a natural talent for making others smile and formed lasting friendships wherever he went. His kindness, loyalty, and infectious laughter made him a beacon of joy, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Soccer was one of Brody’s greatest passions. He proudly played for Florida Coast Futbol Club, Florida Premier, and Tampa Bay United, forging friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime. His enthusiasm for the sport was unmistakable, whether competing or cheering on his favorite team, Arsenal Football Club.

Beyond athletics, Brody dreamed of becoming an Air Force fighter pilot, a goal that reflected his adventurous spirit and determination. He had already begun taking steps toward realizing that aspiration, inspiring those around him with his dedication and purpose.

Faith was central to Brody’s life. He attended The Chapel in Trinity, where he accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized in 2024 at the age of 13. His faith provided a foundation of hope, kindness, and compassion that shone through in his everyday life.

Brody is survived by his devoted parents, Bob and Darlene Swain of New Port Richey; his sister Kylie Leader, brother-in-law Will Leader, and beloved niece Tayah Faith Leader of Lexington, Oklahoma; his grandparents Bob Swain Sr. and Karen Swain of Oldsmar, Florida, and Joe and Bonnie Welch of Hamlin, West Virginia; as well as his aunts and uncles Tawny Swain, Erin and Austin Deren, and Connor Swain. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Peggy Ann Young of Charleston, West Virginia.

A memorial service to celebrate Brody’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family, friends, and all who loved him are invited to come together, honor his memory, share stories, and find comfort during this difficult time.
