It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Randy Douglas Nelson, age 73, of Rural Maskell, Nebraska, who passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. His death has brought grief to his family, friends, and the Maskell community, where he was a respected and beloved figure.
Funeral services for Randy Nelson will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church of Maskell, with Reverend Chad Beckius officiating. Interment will follow at Maskell City Cemetery, and refreshment and fellowship will take place afterward at the Faith Lutheran Fellowship Hall in Maskell.
Visitation, with the family present, will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, Nebraska. Mohr Funeral Home of Ponca, Nebraska is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be offered to them, with designation to be made at a later date.
