Cora Clancy Obituary, Cause of Death – Beloved Child Remembered Through Duxbury Playground Memorial
The Duxbury, Massachusetts community continues to honor the memory of Cora Clancy, alongside her brothers Dawson and Callan, with a beautiful tribute that reflects the love and spirit they brought into the world.
The Clancy Family Playground at Wadsworth Field Park was built in their honor, completed in just four days by hundreds of volunteers, including their father Patrick Clancy. The project was organized by the HEARD Foundation, co-founded by Patrick, with support from the Where Angels Play Foundation.
Every detail of the playground was designed with the children in mind. A toddler play area was created for Callan, a purple play structure was built for Cora—her favorite color and a tribute to Princess Sofia—and a firefighter-themed panel was added for Dawson, who adored first responders.
Three trees were planted to symbolize their lives, angel wings were woven into the shade structures, and families are welcomed by a photo of the three children near the entrance. One of the most touching features is a panel displaying Cora’s daily goodbye: “Thank you for a beautiful day in the neighborhood.”
The playground is more than a memorial. It stands as a symbol of the HEARD Foundation’s mission to improve perinatal mental health care, ensuring that no parent suffers in silence and no family has to navigate such a journey alone.
🕊️ Cora Clancy, Dawson, and Callan will forever be remembered through this living tribute—a place filled with joy, laughter, and love, just as they brought to those around them. Their legacy continues to inspire hope and healing in the community.
